Shangri-La Diet - Day 6
Weight: 199 lbs.
Weight Lost Since Beginning: 0 lbs.
I did not take a second dose of the sugar water yesterday. I thought I would see how it goes with just one. I did feel light-headed off and on, but I am still not sure if that is related to the diet or not.
For dinner, I had a small spinach salad before my normal Lean Cuisine, and I ended up being too full to finish the Lean Cuisine. I kept eating past when I felt full, thinking that if I didn't, I would feel hungry later. So after dinner, I felt uncomfortably full for a while.
I did get hungry again right before bedtime, so I had a snack.
This morning I weighed myself, and I was back to my starting weight! Now I don't know why. I think I ate less than usual yesterday.
I think part of my problem is that I have been changing my dosage every day, experimenting. I think I should stick to the same dose for a week, and not weigh myself until the end of the week. The daily fluctuations in weight might not even be related to the diet.
So, starting today, I plan on doing 2 doses of 1 1/3 tablespoons of sugar each. I chose this amount because it is 120 calories total. If I only did one tablespoon twice a day, that would only be 90 calories. The book recommends at least 100 calories per day.
I am doing it in increments of 1/3 tablespoon because that is what is in one packet of sugar. I bought the packets last weekend, to save on measuring and for easy transport to work.
I don't plan on changing the dose for a week, unless I feel really horrible. I'll see how my weight is at the end of one week.
